"On the main drag, 1/2 mi from US221 S toward Asheville, about a mile from US441 east to the NC piedmont. I thought the Rhodes was great. Loved the way the room was trimmed out, suited me perfectly. You gotta want something a little different to enjoy the place; some will find the hiker chic a tad underwhelming. Thought the lobby was wonderful, the bar and restaurant look nice, didn't get a chance to eat there. Somebody took an old motor lodge from the postwar boom and updated it very well. Mountain views, smack in the middle of everything Boone. "

Rooms were VERY quiet! Bed a little too soft for my taste but didn't keep me from sleeping well. Convenient location in walking distance from many restaurants and stores. I'd stay here again for sure."
