A very quiet hotel, albeit next to a busy main road, the room we had was motel style. A very warm and welcoming room with the bathroom having the free shampoos etc , not found in many hotels these days. We cannot think of any significant shortcomings about this hotel and enjoyed our four night break

Booked for one night to attend a family wedding, check in via the bar, lady came straight out and explained that all the rooms were full, so as we were a family had upgraded us to Hannah House, a complete massive cottage to the three of us, It was beautiful and we could have slept 11 people in it, so rustic and full of charm lovely and peacefully we were so impressed. The room was very spacious and the bed was extremely comfortable. What really made the stay was the staff - I was unable to book a taxi to a wedding and one of the receptionists, Corina, offered to take me to the venue. What superb customer service and I can't thank her enough!

The Hotel staff were warm and very welcoming. The food was fantastic, apart from small portions. I had fish and chips was beautiful but I had 14 chips😩

Really great helpful staff dealing brilliantly in difficult situations in COVID-19. Well organised e.g. breakfast and bar. Social distancing possible with only one family in lifts at a time,etc. Reception desk staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms fairly clean. Some dated looking bits e.g. carpet stains but fine for the price.

This hotel is for chillers only. Just relax and forget all your worries. Fantastic food, great staff, top class facility. BUT; dont have a 2nd floor room when it's the hottest weekend of the year. Not that you'll know when you book but it was just too hot. No air conditioning just a small noisy fan so took the edge off the chill factor! However, its was a fantastic base to explore west Suffolk. Do try it.......

We loved our stay in the Abbey Hotel and apartments, the staff, breakfast & attention to detail were amazing. Very easy walk into the town centre with its unique shops, pubs & restaurants, also not forgetting the Cathedral & Abbey Gardens. Bury St Edmunds is a must to visit.

The White Lion is in a perfect spot on the seafront in Aldeburgh, within walking distance of the high street and shops/restaurants. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was hot and plentiful, with a wide and varied selection. We look forward to visiting again.

We battled the snow for a stay here and were so glad we did. The hotel is beautiful with all the wooden beams and real log fires and our bedroom was a really good size. Both dinner and breakfast were yummy and my husband even had a treatment in the spa which he enjoyed. My only criticism would be the lack of music.
