"Decent for the price however, it wasn’t clean and the WI-FI never worked. I visited the reception twice and called five times informing them of the WI-FI not working. Each time I was ensured it would be checked and fixed, employees never came to the room all week. "

"Excellent Host. The room was clean and spacious. Lots of hooks in the bathroom (always a plus) and places for clothes in the room. The bed was very big (Kingsize UK) and comfortable. Kitchenette was great especially having a fridge. It was very quiet in the room at all times. The location was perfect just a minute to the beautiful old square with lots of places to eat and drink. Local Spar shop was well stocked and just a 2 minute walk. Train station was about a 20 minute slow walk but regular buses were just a few minutes walk away. We would recommend this quirky property to anyone visiting Alkmaar."

"The staff (Coco, Steve, Thomas, Charles) were exceptional, and the only reason I give the hostel high marks. The property was clean, the beds comfortable, but the bad part was the kitchen with non-working fridge, no soap and paper towels- those would be nice even at an economy class hostel. Thank you anyway! M"

"No staff so cannot comment on staff. It is a contactless hotel. As long as you have paid in advance you will receive an email with the key for the front door and room around 15:00 on the day of arrival. The room was fine, clean and tidy, with an okay shower with okay water pressure, and coffee machine. Restaurant closes at 19:00 daily, with last orders at 18:00, so not very useful if you are looking for food. Breakfast starts at 8am, which is very late for breakfast, with a very limited selection. One of my colleagues room door did not close/lock, there are no staff around so no one was able to help fix the issue. He ended up taking his luggage out with him every day."

"What we like : - It’s a nice hotel with plenty of art work & localized in a beautiful & natural place - Their breakfast is good and we like what we ate at their restaurant. - There are great amenities for kids : kids room, playground, outdoor chess… It’s a nice place for families. What we don’t like : - Swimming pool was too cold. - Our room was very dark. It’s a pity for a suite. - And the main pain point was the staff which was very unhelpful : no advice regarding the area or the hotel : they gave us the keys, that’s it. They did’nt help us for finding a bike adapted to the size of our son or to charge our car… It’s a pity."

"massive problem at check in as i was not informed about the access code. as i was checking in at night it created unwanted additional costs. the place is good, the room was spot on, the breakfast was good. The the area in even better. "

"This was such a great hotel. He staff could not be nicer or more helpful. Everyone we encountered was fabulous but the two young women on the evening shift were amazing. They could not have been more helpful or interested in our holiday adventures. Pure gold. "
