"This place is listed as Gloria Beach Lodge but it does not exist at the given address on the confirmation email. The phone number is a Ukrainian one. To contact this number after many attempts was futile.
A message was sent via a local number and a local who contacted me 6 days later .In the meantime my family and I had to find alternative accommodation for those 6 days.
Unfortunately I had a second booking of 2weeks with same lodge which ended up being a hotel called Tradewinds which is...

"A great find! The room was spacious and well maintained, the host was lovely, and it was a close walk to numerous stalls with a variety of goods and amazing fresh produce. Having a kitchen allowed me to stay in if I wanted, but the apartment was also close to bars and restaurants. There is a close-by bar that plays loud music, but not super late, and I actually liked hearing the local music. The people I met were so friendly! And really, the host was very accommodating and responded to questions...

"The term Luxury cottage is an insult. The pictures are very misleading.This place is so run down. The staff you can tell is trying hard but obviously the owner cares nothing about customer service or being honest. Our "Luxury cottage" had no microwave, no satellite TV and the kitchen and living room were exposed to heat as there are no windows only loose screening that let lots of bugs in. The couch and beds sit on concrete reminiscent of city jail. I realize this property is in the tropics but...

"I was the only guest in the hotel, which was apparently under some renovation. Terrible service with literally everything not functioning (water, electricity, safe, kitchen) and limited staff. Monkeys kept sneaking into my room (by actually opening the windows themselves) and messing my stuff despite complaining about the same to management. The hotel should not have been listed as available to guests! "
