"Very dark hallway and room. Broken lamp on the table. Plus is big towel, bathrobe which I did not use. For sure no water sprinkler is the old code, old building. The parking information was not clear. I was told different information. Chicago parking where I am from is a lot more. Just tell honestly how much. It is understandable. My door key is not working so many times. "

"I recently stayed at the Trumbull and Porter Hotel and had a mixed experience. The room itself was okay—nothing special, but not terrible either. It was generally clean, though the concrete floors with area rugs weren’t ideal. The rugs in our room were noticeably stained. The biggest issue, unfortunately, was safety. While the parking lot is gated, it is not truly secure. Our car, along with several others, was broken into overnight. This was extremely upsetting and stressful. The staff were empathetic and kind when we reported the incident, but not particularly helpful in terms of solutions. The hotel didn’t have any proper materials to temporarily cover our broken window so we could safely drive elsewhere for repairs. We were given just a trash bag and some tape, which wasn’t sufficient given the situation. Overall, the stay was disappointing due to the lack of security and limited support after the incident. I would be cautious about staying here, especially if you’re relying on parking your vehicle on-site."

"One of the worst hotel rooms I've EVER had in my life. Right next to a STAFF elevator that goes all day and all night. An air conditioner that would not stop at night and froze the room. When we turned the heat on in the morning, it ran for a minute or two and then kicked over to air conditioning again no matter what we did. I feel you guys should have paid us to stay in that room! SHAMEFUL. It was absolutely horrible. When we left and turned off the light on the right side of the bed spun where it was attached and nearly broke my finger. My primary reason for responding to your text was to ensure management knows that specific room is not fit for guests—it’s not restful and it shouldn't be in your rotation until the elevator noise and climate control are fixed."

"Great hotel in a fun Detroit neighborhood, close to everything. Definitely low-key boujie. Downsides: no off-street parking available, had to use the valet service which was a bit slow. King-city view room was nice, but rather small. Roof top lounge was inviting and posh, service was slow. I'd stay again."
