"The charm of staying on Mont Saint-Michel was a wonderful experience. Everything about the hotel was as I expected. The rooms were clean and the staff helpful. Our room had a little loft which was perfect for our kids. Space was tight but we didn't do much more than shower/change and sleep in the room. We had a wonderful dinner on the island and were able to walk around the city walls in the evening when most of the day visitors had left. We booked an early entry time in the Abbey and being on island overnight made that easy to get to avoiding the longer lines once the busses start dropping off all the day visitors. My only warning is that in the summer the rooms do get hot and with the windows open to cool the room at night you do hear the workers moving supplies to the stores and restaurants over the cobblestone streets very early in the morning. There is no way to avoid that as they need to get their work done and the experience of staying on the island far outweighed any noise issues. "

"We stayed as two couples. The hotel rooms were very clean and well equipped. We were beside the restaurant for breakfast which was handy. Was lovely to stay in the island and have the quieter times at night and early morning before the crowds came. "

"It was amazing to stay inside the Monde St. Michael. The rooms were ofcourse small, but they were clean and comfortable. The breakfast was very good, with many different options. "

"This was a special stay, not for the quality of the accommodation but because of it's location and history. Room was fairly basic but a view to die for, just spectacular. Mt St Michel is magnificent, at night it becomes magical. The abbey lit up at night was amazing. La mere Poulard was ok, friendly reception and good sized, old fashioned room with important fridge, bottled water and fan (essential for the summer). Breakfast was good, eggs, bacon, charcuterie, fresh pastries and breads and freshly made gluten free bread. The rooms are dripping in history. Worth it just to experience the Mt and Abbey at night and early morning before it is swamped with visitors. Parking is off site c£35"
