Hotel Phoenicia was a lucky choice for our first visit to Malta. Ideally positioned to walk into Valetta, and easy to get to everywhere by car. Bus station would have been possible too as just beside the hotel. The Hotel oozed colonial charm especially The Club bar where the service was impeccable. Excellent location right at the heart of Valletta close to just about everything. Plenty of bars and restaurants just a few minutes away. Staff were all friendly and very helpful. Rooftop small pool and loungers with a stunning view of the harbour. Breakfast was included with a good range of hot food from the menu. Nice little bar. All in all we were very pleased with our stay and would highly recommend.

We were very happy with everything about this hotel. Location is superb for people like us who do not like being in the complex of hotels! It is in residential area opposite the San Anton Palace with their excellent parks and their 'Palace Kitchen Gardens'. We didn't have to hire a car as busses are easy to find with a flat rate of 1.5 Euro per journey (which is valid for 2 hours). A lovely 5* hotel close to all amenities but very quiet. The hotel is in St.George's bay and the beach is 5 mins from the hotel wih a small sandy beach and sunbeds. There are a number of restaurants and fast food outlets close to the hotel. A short bus ride away at Spinola Bay will offer you a further selection of lovely restaurants on the waters edge. The Bay Street shopping complex over 4 floors has an entrance directly opposite the hotel or can be accessed from level -3 car park directly...

What a great property! Everything at this property was wonderful, right from our arrival to departure. Started with the helpful doorman to the custom welcome letter and chocolates. The rooms were clean and spacious. The room was quiet and had great sea and pool views. The food, especially breakfast buffet was superlative. Staff was super friendly, professional and helpful. They even threw in free late check-out. The decor and ambience was opulent. Thanks for a great stay.

Staff were incredibly helpful and polite. Room was cleaned multiple times a day and even got a free upgrade. Facilities were clean and good. Plenty of restaurants nearby, bus stops right outside.

Quaint and tastefully decorated little boutique hotel. Lovely helpful staff. Very comfortable and ideally placed for our short stay in Valetta, within easy walking distance of shops, bars, restaurants and places of interest.

Clean rooms with modern design, comfortable bed, hot shower. Very polite staff. Good selection of cooked and continental food for breakfast. Spa pool in the basement is peaceful. Pool suitable for relaxing not laps. A dozen or so comfortable loungers. A steam room and sauna for 3/4 people. Plenty of free towels and water. Rooftop pool with similar loungers. Not sure if it’s heated but was comfortable on a warm day. We would stay again.

Courtyard rooms have minimal windows being an older building but not an issue, nice roof terrace with a small pool, good facilities at sister hotel too. Good location with 5-10 minute walk to centre of Valletta and bars / restaurants. Staff very helpful and attentive. Breakfast fairly standard but all good.

The ambience within the property and available facilities were excellent. All staff were friendly, helpful and provided detailed information to ensure we enjoyed our stay. The hotel is within a very good network of public transport to different parts of Malta; we took the bus to Valleta but we could have taken it to other parts but we were only there for a long weekend. Had a lovely stay at 1926! One of my best holidays! Beautiful food for breakfast and at the pool! Amazing infinity pool! We were lucky it wasn’t too crowded as we went last sept! Otherwise the pool would be a bit small and would be chasing a sun bed! Would definitely come back and recommend 😊

Really lovely resort. Clean with huge rooms. Good breakfast buffet. Nice spa with sauna n jacuzzi. A bit out of way tho there is a shuttle service which is free. If you want to go out for a meal or buy stuff in a supermarket it’s a mission. WiFi is super so I got lots of work done, as intended.

Lovely friendly modern hotel with great spacious room and amazing restaurant.

This is an excellent little hotel, that’s uniquely brought to life by its owners. As it’s small, the owners and their staff are way more attentive than would be possible in a large hotel, including giving tips on things to do and where to go to us Malta first timers. Zebbug itself is a small village, but bars and restaurants are a short walk away. Though the streets around the hotel are tight and the bolt/uber drivers we used occasionally struggled to find us.
