Beautifully designed, charming hotel in the middle of ancient town. Staff were very polite & helpful. Special thanks to Leo & Nancy who made our stay very comfortable. Also the dynamic Manager Crystal who supported with all the necessary arrangements. Would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone who wishes to explore the area.

Beautiful example of local architecture. Awoke to birdsong . High quality linen and towels. Very comfortable bed and excellent shower. Breakfast was great - Western style and very generous ! Staff were so lovely - extremely helpful and generous ! They arranged transfer to and from the railway station which was excellent . Provided a map of the city and restaurant recommendations . Very quick to use Google translate so communication was great. Highly recommend !

Lovely, bit quirky, hotel. Staff very helpful and friendly. Breakfast limited to toast, jam and butter for western tastes and local options too - try the local doughnut type hot buns. Local area quiet and some of the local area being rennovated or re built. Convenient to walk to the local sites within the old town or to walk to and around the town wall (7.2 km in length). No evening meals but nice places to eat nearby. Bed very comfortable, shower fab plus toiletries supplied. Will certainly...

Received a genuinely warm & helpful welcome at this fabulous property. Feels truly authentic while also managing to include all the mod cons expected of a modern hotel. You truly feel you’re staying somewhere unique & temporarily sharing a slice of Chinese history.

i was there for only one night so didnt get to see what's around the hotel. but the hotel itself is very comfortable and breakfast was good.

This hotel has a gorgeous charm to it. The design and architecture was just fabulous, it felt like stepping back into ancient China. We had a great stay. The bed was slightly too hard for our liking but other than that everything was perfect. Great value for money.
