Loved the location of being nearer the old side of Kyoto. Spacious lobby was lovely along with rooftop bar. Balance between sympathetic design and modern luxury. Breakfast was excellent and very varied to others we had in Japan. Room was good and a generous size. Ground floor didn’t have much light but that was okay as we were out all day. Only negatives, only one chair in room and not many places to be comfy and relax. No bath. Laundrette was not nearly big enough, turned out to be very...

This hotel was ideally located in Kyoto right next to the subway station and only one stop from Kyoto station. We had a king bed room which was very spacious with plenty of room. Would recommend staying here if you are planning on visiting Kyoto couldn’t recommend this hotel more.

Very clean and convenient hotel. The room was spacious and the facilities excellent. Breakfast at the hotel was good and all the staff were friendly and helpful. There’s plenty of good restaurants and dining options nearby as well.

Beautiful hotel, with wonderful amenities and convenient location. Thank you for a memorable stay.

Convenient location next to train station, wonderful breakfast, smart decor

We’ve stayed here a few times and always enjoy it. The location is good, very close to Shin-Osaka station, the staff are always helpful, everything is clean and we like the big communal baths and sauna. Depending on which room you go for, the views of Osaka city are great too

Excellent Hotel – Highly Recommended! The hotel is impeccable and ideally located, just a 5-minute walk from Kyoto Central Station, making it extremely convenient for exploring the city's main attractions as well as nearby destinations such as Osaka and Nara. Everything feels brand new, including the rooms, which are spotlessly clean and surprisingly spacious, even in the more economical categories. The bathroom is completely modern and newly renovated. The staff are very friendly and...

An Amazing Hotel. Wonderful staff, excellent facilities and a great location. The shuttle bus service to Umeda station was very helpful. Cannot wait to return.

Lovely place, very friendly and helpful staff. We enjoyed the little treats throughout the day, and the amenities was great.

The hotel is fairly new. It is centrally located within the district we stayed in about 4 km from Kyoto Station. The hotel staff were very helpful when we had to change our travel plans due to the cyclone that hit Tokyo and managed to find us alternative rooms in the hotel. Excellent service.

Great place, close to to Kyoto station and just across a 7/11! would highly recommend staying here

Great location, great facilities and very helpful staff!

This is the second time I have stayed at the Hankyu RESPIRE, the first being only for a few nights on a multi-city "Golden Route" trip to Japan last year and the experience I had, combined with it's fantastic location meant it was the obvious choice for my week-long stay in Osaka this year. The rooms are well equipped and roomy, especially for Japan, toiletries, room slippers and pyjamas are provided, meaning you can leave those things at home and have more space in your luggage for your Japan...

We stayed here in November 2023 in an executive King Room with lounge access. This hotel was fantastic! The room was spacious, the bed absolutely massive and a lovely view out to the city below. The lounge access with the executive rooms was well worth the extra cost. Breakfast is held in the lounge (if you have access), which is on the highest floor, with large windows and a great view out. There was a great selection at breakfast, with lots of local japanese items, which we were hoping for!...

Nice central hotel with friendly attentive staff. Kyoto station is minutes away with lots of dining and drinking options. The room had a great size bed and plenty of room for 2. Would happily return when visiting Kyoto again.

A nice hotel that's only a 5 minute walk from the nearest train station and 10 minutes from the nearest subway station, and therefore ideal for tourists. The rooms, while on the small side are nice and the beds fairly comfortable. Free toiletries are available for use though most of them are kept in the lobby not the rooms. There's also a small selection of decent selection of restaurants nearby as well as convenience stores. Overall a very pleasant experience and highly recommended.
