"The Antigonish Evergreen Inn was extremely clean and well cared for. Bath robes and slippers were provided. We had a small kitchen as well as a laundry mat that we took advantage of. The Inn is conveniently located close to downtown Antigonish and St Francis- Xavier University. The host was friendly, helpful and gave us good recommendations for dinner dining. We would stay again without hesitation."

"The dinner meals were amazing. I had halibut one night and salmon the next. It was served with fresh vegetables from the garden. I had soup and mussels as appetizers and both were fabulous. The breakfast was very underwhelming, cold frittata and French toast with Aunt Jemima syrup ,no fresh fruit as promised. Our server Pierre was polite, efficient and kind. My room,6a ,had a moldy smell. The a/c filters were caked with dust ( I cleaned them out myself) and the patio door to the outdoor did...

"Favorite lodging of the nine or ten on our 3 week trip! Cheryl Chambers goes beyond to be accommodating, welcoming and informative. Large space-our room was about 25’ long, with bed at one end and Tv+ 2 wing chairs at the other, enclosed dining area, & balcony deck overlooking her gardens. She provides wine, nuts and candy in the entry foyer, and has tea & coffees in the room. Refrig just outside our door to share with the other room across the hall. Amazing breakfast, served on lovely linens...

"The beds very comfortable. New towels. The owner makes an effort to upgrade the rooms. A good job. The restaurant on site is good. Service very good. It is an old inn but very well taken care of and it showed."

"It was very quiet, was able to relax easily. Did not like - how high the beds where from the ground. Would have liked if there was an option for a stool to help get into the bed. I am short and I was hurt recently (after I had booked), so was having trouble climbing into the bed."

"Wonderful room and wonderful hosts. The breakfast was delicious. In addition, Lynn went out of her way even providing us with a map and directions to key sites in the area. All were outstanding. You are going to have a difficult time finding better hosts than Lynn and Rod here."
