"Stayed at Warakei Resort for 3 weekday nites and used it as a base for full day trips doing the Lake Taupo Loop and the Central Plateau Mts Loop. Perfect accomodation for a late winter solo traveller. Reception staff very welcoming and helpful. Grounds extensive and diverse.....7-8am swim in thermal lap pool was magic. Room spacious, everything worked, plenty of bathroom and coffee-tea making supplies. Room serviced daily whilst out exploring. A great place to come 'home to' after out all day. "One of the best stays I’ve ever had. On arrival we were greeted by lovely staff, who couldn’t do enough for us during our whole stay. The view from the room was breathtaking. The rooms themselves are large and have all the facilities required. We prepaid for breakfast and are so glad we did, absolutely delicious. Our only regret is not staying for longer. We cannot wait to return! Worth every penny."

"Would highly recommend. We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment. The views were amazing. All the staff were friendly, efficient and helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable and a 5 minute walk to all the downtown lakefront shops and restaurants."

"Had a super lovely stay at this hotel. The beds were comfy, the room was modern and had lovely views from outside the property. However I will say “mountain views room” is a little deceiving as the windows in the room were small and had a beam covering them which made it a little difficult to really see out of them. But other than that we had a great stay and it was relatively affordable. "
