"I was very disappointed with Paleo hotel, The shower water in the wet room did not drain away, so was always wet and slippery. The window rattled in the wind. I stayed for 2 nights, paid my bill and left really I should have refused to pay for the 2 nights as I left there very sick probably caused because of the problems with the the drainage. The food was not up to much either I wished I had gone else where "

"Excellent value. Paid the equivalent of about $50 Canadian per night and that includes a full three-course breakfast. Rooftop pool is heated with a great lounge area and restaurant/bar. Meal prices are very reasonable. Quarter chicken and fries for about $6$6 Canadian. Staff are super friendly and helpful."

"The rooms are run down for the price I paid and the bed was squawking with every turn I made. The bath tab had molds. I have spent the night in a cheaper and much better hotel in Ruiru."

"The hotel is clean. I had requested a room with 2 beds but got 1 bed. I was promised to be moved but it never happened. the first night, I was not able to shower because the water was too hot and could not control the temperature. House keeping also tried and was not able to. By the time they offered to go shower in another room, I was too tired. the other thing which was annoying are the guards at the door. They want to search your bag constantly which respectively said no to. They also, don't want you to bring drinking water inside , which doesn't make any sense since they only leave you a one small bottle in the room each day. I drink 3-5 liters of water a day and there is no way I am buying water from you. I have paid for my stay and the least you can do is offer enough free water to your guests!"

"Great stay, if you want to stay north of Nairobi. Place has a unique colonial character, service is more reflective of times gone by. Food was great and well priced. Property is geared towards big events hosting so felt empty on many days and then suddenly full. Overall enjoyed it as a great sleeping pad for our north of Nairobi trips like hells gate national park, ziplining and ol pejete trips. Grounds were pretty, so you can enjoy a day or two in the property itself."
