"What a stunning one night stay over. It's as if you are staying in a family home. The supper we ordered was simply the absolute best in a long time. Slow, home cooked lamb with roast potatoes and rice, two sides of Greek salad and creamy veggies, it was superb and great value for money. The meat we bought and braaied the next two nights was beyond description. Do yourself a favour and get the curry lamb sosaties - you'll kill for it! "

"Great location obviously sitting right on the rim. Good food and wide selection of drinks. Good service. Strange you don’t get a Wi-Fi voucher for each night stay as we ran out on final night of our 2 nights. Appreciate you can buy more access but really for a hotel of this standard you should get one voucher per night. Trip into canyon worth doing, whilst it’s a full day and on some bumpy roads, to be able to get to swim and lunch near the bottom was a special experience. "

"The scale system used by hotels.com doesnt do Alte Kalfoken lodge justice. It's a beautiful property, surrounded by nothing but the beautiful nature and wildlife of Namibia (Sure, theres a train track beside the property, but there aren't any trains running through. The staff are lovely, the scenery is picturesque and the food is amazing. If you're even considering staying in the Keetmanshoop area, skip it and drive a bit further to Alte Kalfoken. You will not regret it."
