"It was really nice to be greeted with wine, cheese, and crackers! The owners were nice and responsive, and the location on the lake is beautiful. But the house felt like it was slanting into the lake, there ceilings were cracked and damaged, and water in the kitchen smelled strongly of sulfur. We lost power, which was not surprising, but I was surprised the owners were not prepared. No candles or flashlights, except a citronella candle."

"They supposedly didn’t know we were coming, there was a mouse in the toilet, the floors had not been swept, they had a bunch of food and in the freezer and fridge, liquor had been out, no wifi or service, the bed sheets were dirty, no curtains on any of the windows, the doors and ALL windows were unlocked when we got there but the didn’t know we were coming?
