No water I couldn't wash myself, a/c bearly working, no internet connection, no bar to have a coffe fresh water, no restaurant to have a meal, staff barely talking at all in any language....realy sad atmosphere. "It was fairly typical for a hotel in Africa. There was obvious maintenance that was needed in the bathroom - some peeling paint and an off-kilter cabinet - but the room was big enough for the four of us, and the A/C and hot water was as good as it gets and rather unexpected. The ceiling light in the bedroom was not bright enough, but we brought our own emergency lighting so that was not an issue. The woman at the front desk was very helpful in getting us our room. "I booked two rooms via hotels.com for Hotel Girafe in Yaoundé for June 25, 2022. I paid in full. On arrival at the property, I was told there was no reservation for me and that the hotel does not have any online booking capabilities. I showed my reservation numbers and emails from hotels.com, yet the hotel claimed that they do not have any online presence. So my question is how come they are listed on hotels.com and yet, say they do not have any online presence and bookings cannot be done...

"A hotel that is not well maintained at all. Rooms are old, with broken TV's, badly functioning airconditioning, damaged showers and WIFI that is not working 80% of the time. Rooms are a lot older then they look on the pictures. Hotel staff took an hour to understand my online booking. Restaurant staff actually had the nerve to tell me that the supposedly included breakfast is just not available. Second day they tried to charge me extra. Not good value for money, but it seems there are not a lot...
