This hotel is for chillers only. Just relax and forget all your worries. Fantastic food, great staff, top class facility. BUT; dont have a 2nd floor room when it's the hottest weekend of the year. Not that you'll know when you book but it was just too hot. No air conditioning just a small noisy fan so took the edge off the chill factor! However, its was a fantastic base to explore west Suffolk. Do try it.......

The hotel was fantastic for the price. Staff were all really helpful and polite. Breakfast was good. Beds were comfy. Couldn’t empty the bath as there was no plug release! Also the hairdryers need replacing. They are the old fashioned ones fixed into the drawer and it only worked for about 30 seconds before cutting out. Free and ample parking.

Fab hotel, great amenities, lovely staff. Would stay again

Parking good , lots of shopping and food close Garden and kitchen are great

This clean shabby at the seems hotel is full of character and friendly staff. Our breakfast was served by a very cheerful waiter and his assistant. The leisure complex is delightful and I cannot praise enough the splendid pool assistant. Her smile and charm lit up the complex and after 14 years service surely deserves some kind of award. However, can you please just smile if you work the reception desk, it costs nothing and makes the world of difference, even if through gritted teeth!

The hotel & grounds were amazing, it felt restful & relaxing the minute you arrived. Everywhere was fresh & clean, all the staff were nice, polite & helpful, from the reception upon arrival to the services & cleaning, saying hello as they pass you or offering help if you looked lost. The restaurants dinner menu was limited for me as I don't eat fish or spicy food, the sirloin steak was my only option which was pricy, I requested it medium to well done, it was cooked perfectly & the portions were...

Stayed one night with my daughter after a full day on the road. Food was good, service was friendly and welcoming. Room was a good size, clean and comfortable. Ensuite was lovely. Hottest bank holiday weekend, it was stifling, what can you do? Well they had left bottles of water for guests and the room had a fridge, also electric fan in the room which was amazing!! I would definitely stay again!

Lovely historical hotel, Staff are very helpful friendly and welcoming The breakfast had a great choice and was very tasty Enjoyed a lovely evening in the bar Looking forward to coming back in September

Lovely Tudor hotel full of character and such a lovely contrast to modern plastic 'Where am I now?' hotels.

Room and the view.

The Esplanade Hotel was great value for money, (Room 32) We would highly recommend it for a comfortable night and a most amazing and enjoyable breakfast. The front desk receptionist (Lilly) was very helpfull.

A beautiful house in a stunning location - everything you need close by and the walled garden is just amazing .

Perfect place for our stay in Woodbridge. So close to the station and everywhere in town. Spotlessly clean and really nicely set up. Had everything we needed. Would definitely stay here again if coming to the area.

Everything was superb. See a fuller review on the Sykews Cottages website.
