Nice old charming room, clean and friendly service don't forget about complimentary beignets in the morning with coffee. The restaurant is amazing and a good bar
Older property but perfect for a staycation. The restaurant, bar and hotel are under the same roof and the staff for each are efficient and accommodating
Owner is an amazing guy. This was our 2nd stay and he is always so friendly. The room was clean, and comfortable. The restaurant also has great food. We will be staying there everytime we pass through.
This is such a quaint and historic gem!! Last minute chose to book a room here and I’m so glad that we did!! The owner was also so friendly and there are the sweetest little shops that are walking distance.
Loved the feel of this Hotel, Art Deco interior was awesome. Staff were super nice. Surrounding area was full of shops, restaurant ,coffee, and beer on tap.
The stay in the presidential suite was good except one thing. No door or wall between the two bedrooms just open no privacy at all. And the bunk bed mattress was very sqeeky very old. But overall it was a nice historic building with a lot of antique stuff. Staff was excellent and restaurant was good. Would stay again.
the hotel is truly gorgeous. complete with its own restaurant bar. nice high ceilings, working A/C, etc. The only issue i really had was a room mix up, and the fact that all the staff immediately goes to work in the restaurant so you have to go looking for assistance if you have need of anything.
We liked everything about it. The staff went above and beyond. The bed and pillows were wonderful. The room was spacious and comfortable. We love the historic look of the whole hotel. Walking to the lake and downtown restaurants and stores was close by. The attached restaurant was amazing. We will be back

The hotel is within walking distance to restaurants and the cafe on the first floor was good. The staff there was friendly. As hotel guests, it was frustrating that there was no hotel staff to talk to - especially when we ran out of toilet paper. There was no extra in the room and calling the hotel didn’t get me to a person to ask about the TP. It would have been nice to have someone talk to.

The Cafe Nola was excellent, the staff was nice. The room was okay, as the second 'bedroom' was open to the first, and had a creaky, metal bunkbed for kids. Was too expensive. The shower was great, but the room was right by the main road with no 'block-out' curtain (so it was noisy and BRIGHT every time a car drove by. Access to the lake with the walking path was great. A mixed bag, really. I gave the stay a 4, but the room was a 3 and the food was a 5, so 4 is the average.
Lovely off the beaten path stay. Walkable to what DeFunial Sorings is all about: the round lake surrounded by historic homes. The nearby restaurants were outstanding.
This was a different hotel experience than expected, but not in a bad way. We arrived unfamiliar with the check-in procedures, or even which door to enter for the hotel. We found our way into the hotel restaurant and a gracious employee took us around to the desk where we got our key. Our room in this 1920's vibe hotel was #3. It was small but comfortable; the bathroom was teenie tiny, but adequate. We noted a double parlor downstairs, an elevator and a restaurant. Two things to be aware of: Although the website states that the Hotel DeFuniak is a Bed and Breakfast hotel, there is no breakfast. We did see a Keurig near the front desk. Also, don't expect to encounter a lot of staff here. Besides the helpful young woman in the restaurant who showed us our key, there was only one other young woman who freshened the Keurig supplies. The building has an interesting history and the location was perfect for walking to restaurants. We will know better what to expect should we visit again.
