"Julie and Jon are excellent hosts and made us feel welcome and appreciated. Julie checked us in quickly and advised on the best parking options nearby. Jon’s breakfast service was second to none. If we’d had more time, we’d have liked to stay many more nights to explore the area and enjoy the welcoming lodging. "

"I have been staying in Dartmouth working for the past 8 months and wish I found this place sooner. It is a lovely room with views and the couple are lovely and very welcoming. This place is better than all the hotels that I have stayed in. Would 100% recommend and happily stay in again."

"The place is surface level clean but if you end up having to move furniture e.g because you drop something behind the bedside table, it’s quite dirty. That’s just one example, inside the cleaning cupboard, if you need a broom for example, again, dirty. The electric meter cost way more than the estimates provided. Please note that we stayed in the cold month of December. We never really got it toasty warm like with central heating. The electric meter had a momentary blip where it would keep rejecting coins despite using it fine the evening before. We appreciate this isn’t an issue the owners have experienced before but just highlighting it did happen to us. The shower was weak & took a while to get used to. Again, the owners say they haven’t experienced problems reported before but we’re highlight that, for us, it wasn’t an easy “turn it on & you’re away” like our home shower. It’s temperamental. In trying to get it warm enough. It’s tired & things like door frames could do with a lick of paint and there’s splatter marks in the main bedroom. Light switches aren’t where you would intuitively reach for them, like in the second bedroom. And the decor and furniture is poor. My husband and I can pick things up pretty quickly but we just found the who found the whole thing a faff. If you’re on a very tight budget and have the time to read & learn everything- it’ll probably be fine. But we’ll never return. On a plus, the bed was comfy & the kids enjoyed the bunk beds. "

"Had a really comfortable stay, chalet was clean and tidy and had everything you needed. Location was perfect for getting about every where we wanted and Dartmouth harbour was 7 mins away in the car. My only criticism and it’s not really of any concern is that the outside lacks curb appeal and gives you a wrong first impression as the inside is fine for what it is."
