"Great location, friendly staff, and excellent service. The room was very clean, tidy, and comfortable, with good facilities—all within walking distance. This hotel truly added value to our trip to Fukui. We highly recommend it and would definitely stay here again if we return to Fukui."
"Our stay here was wonderful—the staff, the food, the onsen and of course the arrangement of the temple activities. If you are going to Eihiji I highly recommend a stay here."
"It was a lovely hotel. The village was so enjoyable and walkable. We loved the onsen!! Public onsen in the hotel so it was a little busy in the am but very quiet in the evening. "
"We had the most wonderful stay here for our honeymoon, staff were so friendly and ensured we were looked after well. The hotel was spotless and the decor was incredible. The private dining was fantastic with lots of different courses. We highly recommend staying here! "
"Ryokan’s kaiseki dinner was finely executed and delicious. Ryokan has a “lion “ dance show in evening for guests, a bonus.
Room size was smaller than we expected but adequate. Location was okay as apart from some stores around the square, there was nothing else around the area.

"We spend two days in the hotel and enjoyed it very much. The staffs in the front deck speak good English and are very helpful. The outdoor onsen is beautiful Special when the winter snow. Definitely will be back. Thanks "
"We enjoyed being able to watch the river as we bathed in the open air bath. Plenty of amenities provided, staff was super friendly and helpful, and room was lovely and spacious. Japanese breakfast was huge and delicious and it was wonderful to try some regional specialities."

Auberge Homachi Mikuniminato
10/10 Excellent
"The room facilities were modern designer-quality furnishings."
"The staff and the accommodation itself was lovely. I got to the hotel early and paid about $7 dollar U.S. to get a room early. They have free ramen offered for an hour at night. The bath/hot spring was just what I needed. The staff was helpful and respectful. Would absolutely stay here again. Struggled with putting on the A/c and a staff member cleaning another room came to save the day!"
"This is a brand new hotel (finished in 2024) in a block that was also built around the same time. There are a number of options for food and entertainment around the station, and this is a great hotel to stay at if you’re planning to go to the Fukui Prefectural Dinosaur Museum. Great location and an incredible value "
"This was my first hotel in Japan. Great value for the quality of the stay. The location has plenty to offer in a walkable distance, including close proximity to the Shinkansen (bullet train). I staid here to be able to visit Daihonzan Eiheiji. The bus to Eiheiji temple is at the transportation center where the Shinkansen and other trains depart. "
