The hotel and staff was very sweet and helpful but I did specifically book the Torre Dorada because I was under the impression we could be picked up for our tours, hosted by Lima Tours, but I was informed then evening before by a guide we had to meet them in the main square. "This hotel is in a great location if you’re looking to stay around the historic center/Plaza de Armas. You can walk easily to many museums, restaurants, and parks. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast buffet and the hotel restaurant are both wonderful."

Our room was nice, although we expected a little more as it listed a kitchenette, however as of this review we are currently on our second half of this stay, I will review more completely once our stay is done. Only complaint is the insane schedule of the hot water, which is super inconvenient if you like showering in the morning. It isn’t turned on until 0500 hrs and most tours leave at 0400.
