Host were awesome! Dryed my shoes and did my laundry for a small charge and Breakfast was lovely. Room was clean and comfortable.
My sister and I both thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The hosts could not be sweeter! You seriously felt you were staying with family. Breakfast was amazing before we headed off. I would love to go there again. Highly recommend it.
This was an absolute gem of a place. The owners were so thoughtful and provided just about every kind of tea, coffee, wagon wheels, tunics tea cakes and a cracking breakfast !
Room was compact but contained everything one needed when doing the west highland way and it is literally on route (about 6’ away).
So much nicer than the enormous campsite hippy hobbit house place and the saga-bus-holiday hotel.
Great location right on the west highland way. Upon arrival we were made extremely welcome and showed to our lovely large bedroom. The room was very clean and was very well stocked with beverage making facilities plus chocolate bars and cold drinks in the fridge. The twin beds were very comfortable and the room was quiet. We were asked upon arrival what we would like for breakfast and what time we would like it. It was fair to say that it was a breakfast for champions. We started with a large bowl of steaming hot porridge, which was then followed by a large fry up with two of everything we had asked for. We also had the option of tea, coffee and orange juice plus fresh fruit. We cannot recommend Clifton house highly enough with it's friendly owners, great location and high standards of service.
We loved staying at Clifton Cottage, hosts were friendly and helpful. Very comfortable rooms, stocked fridge, fabulous breakfast, safe parking and lovely and quiet.
We felt very welcome throughout our stay whilst hiking the incredible local mountains, our hosts looked after us brilliantly and had thought of everything. Clean, comfortable rooms throughout
a fantastic place to stay, ideally situated on the west highland way. I stayed there as a midway point on a business trip. the room was very comfortable and the breakfast was huge!
The owners were very friendly and we had a good chat over breakfast.
definately staying again when im on the road

Friendly welcoming hosts, great room with free quality biscuits coffee/tea as well as a small fridge with an assortment of soft drinks. Great breakfast choice tailored to your preference, nothing was too much trouble with a garden full of bird life to keep you company while you eat. This B&B has the WHW running right past the front door and is a credit to the owners.
We stayed here one night while doing West Highland Way. The location was perfect as it was on the way and also very close to restaurants and shops.
What made it special was everything was so well organised in the room... Had lovely coffees and teas, and everything seemed very well thought off. The hosts were wonderful and they provided us with everything we needed including a lovely breakfast.
If we are this way I would definitely stay at Clifton cottage.
Our stay here was wonderful.
The owners were very nice and welcoming.
On our last day they got up early to make us breakfast and say goodbye. They even offered to make us sandwiches for our trip to London.
The house is a really nice cottage with a wonderful winter garden where you can watch all the birds during breakfast.
Our hostess was very welcoming, our room well appointed and clean, with screens on the windows to keep out the swarms of midges (major plus point in this part of the world). Everything worked, plenty of tea, coffee and choc bars in the room, free wifi, TV. Excellent cooked breakfast. Overall really happy.
What a gem. We are doing the West Highland Way. The owner washed and dried our clothes. The room was amazing, spacious and clean. It is directly on the WHW so tbe location was brilliant. Breakfast was cooked to order. Owners are a lovely couple. Highly recommend.
I stayed at several Guest Houses as I walked the West Highland Way. Not only is Clifton Cottage situated right on the trail, but the moment the hosts learned that I was walking the Way they immediately asked if I needed to do any laundry. That was such a thoughtful, generous response to my experience. I'd highly recommend Clifton Cottage to any traveler.
