"A nice hotel in an excellent location in Chamonix with views of Mt Blanc. Good breakfast, nice lobby bar, mixed helpfulness on the staff. Nice pool and spa area. Main negatives are basic furnishing (a classic high volume ski hotel), significant noise issues in central rooms (bar/events on terrace), pets are allowed (barking early morning). Nothing a good pair of ear plugs can’t solve. Would book again."
"This hotel is really convenient -- I arrived in Geneva and took a shuttle, and the shuttle stops right at the Rockypop as one of its shared transfers. The restaurant's food was good, the room was clean, and the decor is fun. The staff were helpful, and have a locked storage area where you can drop your bags off early if you arrive before check in."
"Amazing two night stay. Hotel is in a great location, very clean, friendly staff and great amenities. The breakfast buffet was plentiful. Would definitely stay here again."
"I have stayed here previously and left a negative review due to excessive noise from slamming doors in the hotel, this remains an issue in some areas as there are many heavily sprung doors throughout the corridors slamming 24/7 making sleep an issue
With that said I have stayed here 2 further times in ski and cycling season once in a different area of the building and once in the new construction building, in both cases no noise issues.
With the issue of the doors removed the hotel, staff, location, parking and spa facilities are absolutely brilliant it is a fantastic hotel and the restaurant also very reasonable, Even the Aircon is good. As a base for a sports holiday or more likely a stop off on the way to/from the mountains I can't imagine a better arrangement .
The slamming door issue is major and is still present.will be a probleut if you are lucky and stay in the correct room"
"The Hotel L'Arve was in a quieter part of Chamonix which was nice, since the town gets pretty busy. We had a view of Mont Blanc from our patio which was nice. The room was a little awkward in the way that it faces out to the river and a pedestrian pathway just beyond that so it lacked privacy. Also, because there is no air conditioning, the windows stay open at night and we were affected by "people noise" one evening, and "nightclub music noise" another evening. One other noise problem we could hear in our room dealt and brought to their attention was a loudly swinging door in the kitchen which was constant from about 6:00 AM until breakfast service was over. Hopefully they rectified this one. The staff was super helpful and friendly. The lawn area was the total winner for coffee in the morning and reading in the afternoon. Beautiful!"
"My son stayed for one night camping the rest of the time and this hotel was pure luxury . Their room was upgraded the breakfast was great and they did a spa treatment. Perfect"
