Little Black Hill Little Black Hill is situated between the Olchon and Monnow Valleys and is rising ground to the south of its much higher sibling, the Black Hill. To the right is the dominating bulk of the Black Mountains.

Buttercup Meadow near Goods Farm Taken from the crossroads NNW of Goods Farm. Looking towards Black Hill - an outlying glaciated ridge to the east of the main ridge used by the Offas Dyke path. The lower slopes of Hay bluff can just be seen to the right of Black Hill.

Stone slabs path on the Hay Bluff plateau Offa's Dyke path gains the plateau here before making a lengthy descent to the SE. Although a man-made addition, the stone-slabbed route cuts down on erosion and makes for almost effortless progress compared with the alternative of walking across miles of heathery tussocks.

Lovely stay and came across the stunning Offa cocktail bar inside. Staff very helpful however a couple of points not so enjoyable- shower over the bath was difficult to work it . No hook on back of the bathroom door it hadn’t been replaced just the marking where the old one had been. Didn’t sleep ...
