"The hotel was located just a block or so away from the core shopping and site-seeing district. It was very close to the River Ness. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. We also enjoyed a meal and drinks from the restaurant one evening after a day of sight-seeing. The food and drinks were very good. Overall, a very easy and pleasant experience from start to end."

"This breakfast was probably the best deal that we got during our trip to Great Britain. If you pre-pay 10 pounds you get all the food you want, including fresh fruit, two different styles of eggs and an assortment of breads. Everything was fresh and delicious."

"Location can't be beat. Good hotel, but some of its age showing in rooms. Lobby excellent. Quiet & clean."

"The hotel was spot on. Clean quiet very pleasant staff. No food served as the restaurant is under going work. Which was stated when we booked. It is close enough to the town to get food or pubs for a good drink. Will definitely be back again in the future."

"A very convenient location next to the river. Close to everything. Charming Victorian hotel. Carpets need to be replaced, but generally the place was in good shape. Clean. Breakfast was classic buffet, nothing exciting, but plenty to eat and everything tasted fine. Dinner was pretty good. However, there are plenty of restaurants and pubs in the area, so I am guessing many guests are not having dinner at the hotel. The bar (in the restaurant) had a few draft beers and plenty of liquor choices. The staff members were all VERY friendly and helpful. "
