"Be sure to book ahead if you want to eat at the restaurant. Parking is out of premium. Itโs a grand old place with a lot of history and close to a small village with a couple of restaurants which you should also reserve at. coaches full of seniors come here, so thereโs a vibrant scene at the hotel bar"

"The front desk was very nice. Our privilege room was not available due to some flooding and we had to take a lesser room. They offered for us to move to the original room the second night but we declined and they credited us the cost difference for our stay. They were very apologetic."

"Lovely lobby and grand staircase right next door to train station. Our room looked out onto platform 2. Hotel is a gracious older dame. Spacious. Comfortable but showing signs of age. Worked well for us as we enjoy heritage properties. Particularly when the train station entrance is immediately beside the hotel door and public transport stops."

"We loved the bikes and rode into town every day. The beach is just steps away and golf is at your door step. The decor of the hotel was absolutely superb!"

"We were here on vacation. The location was great, right by the river. The restaurant was good (they seem to dry-age their beef themselves). Staff very helpful, facility very clean. Only drawback, no elevator (which was only an issue with luggage, but staff offered to carry bags up for us). We'd happily come back."
