"I cannot understand why this is a four star hotel ! It does not have a proper dining room. Dinner in a dark and dingy bar and breakfast in a cafe. It is not properly licenced either. The bar closes at 9pm. I only found this out when I returned from a gig in Lanark at 10.30 hoping for a beer, only to find it locked up. I will not be going back and I certainly will not recommend it to anyone."

"We stayed two days. A warm friendly welcome at reception. Giving all the information we needed to get about. Also confirmed our spa days and all the times. Our room was clean and comfortable with amazing views of the Clyde falls. Yea and coffee in the room and hot chocolate for night time. The beds are comfortable and the room was warm. Breakfasts were filling and served well. All the staff are friendly and attentive. Our evening meal for our anniversary was perfect with a delicious nozeco to help. The food was great and the atmosphere was just right. Our sis day started with a light meal. The soup and sandwiches were filling and the brownie and fresh raspberry was out of this world. We enjoyed the sauna and pool till time for our treatments. Both of which were tailored to our needs perfectly and that relaxing I nearly dozed off. Going back to the room we thought we would chill but ended up sleeping the night away peacefully. We enjoyed the roof top garden with beautiful view of the area. We loved this place for the relaxation and beautiful walks in and around the hotel. The spa was amazing and combined well worth the trip. Thanks guys. "

"I had a blue badge so parked at front of hotel , I would never have made it up the hill . Room needs a wee refresh paper peeling and bathroom ceiling damp patch . Staff amazing in every department. Laura on reception an asset to the hotel , very helpful and friendly. Bar and restaurant staff very polite and friendly. Would definitely come back . Lounge so nice to sit and relax with coffee or bar drinks ."
