"We stayed in 301 deluxe rm. I believed was downstairs. We had to carry everything up very steep stairs. She said she'd put us downstairs but there wasn't anything available. The code was on the dark low doorknob. My husband had to kneel with his light phone to do it. Above hall lights there were nests of bugs! No waste basket in the room. When the tiny basket in the bathroom was full, I had to get a trash bag from the nice lady at the bar. The worst was that the floor was so crooked it gave me vertigo the first night. The bathroom floor was so bad that when I dropped an empty little bottle on the floor it quickly rolled across the floor to the tub. The bedroom was the same. You could feel it and see the crooked gap at the top of the two chairs and bureau mirror. As we walked across the very squeaky floor that moved, we had some things fall off the front of the bureau onto the floor at night. There was no table in the room, so we had to use to use the top of the bureau to prepare our food. The last morning I saw the bed headboard was separated from the frame. A row of nails showed. It's the worse place we've ever stayed in. If we could have gotten reimbursed, we would have gone somewhere else. On a good note the lady that tended the bar and also was our waitress one night we ate there (on our anniversary) was very nice and the meal was good. We knew it would be because we've eaten there before when we stayed in another place.. which we wished we had again."

"Our favorite go to place in the White Mountains. Roomy cabins which have been beautifully updated and are well maintained. Fun for the kids: putt putt golf, corn hole, play area, upsized outdoor chess game, with a minimal resort fee. Easy park in front of each cabin. Grill access for each cabin: note any fire restriction rules. Great place!"

"The location is in a Ponderosa pine forest in a friendly mountain town called Pinetop. Nothing fancy but quiet and comfortable and the breakfast area had ample food and was kept very clean. I recommend shopping at the Butterfly Boutique a short walk away on the same side of the street. Great handcrafted and sustainable items."

"Booked property specifically as a pay at check in which is very common for us when we travel. They charged my card the night before which was not the one I was planning to use. When we arrived, attendant was rude and said we'll its a holiday weekend so they run all the cards ahead of time. My thought...hmmm false advertising...then... Got to property to check in and it was 20 minutes before 3pm. We were told there is an early check in fee of $35... so we left and came back at 3 to a long line of people who were told the same thing and only 1 desk attendant. That was an awesome experience to wait all while the AC was out in the main areas. I mean they charged my card before I got there but wouldn't let me check in 20 minutes early unless I paid for it. I can understand an hour or more early... Great management and customer service. We then were in our room where the bathroom soap had hair on it as well as some of the floor and tub. A couple of towels did not appear to be very clean either. The bed was hard and the pillows were so fat we woke up with sore necks. It really was disappointing. We will not be returning which is unfortunate as we spend 3 weekends a month in Pinetop through the summer and we're hoping this would be this year's spot. I just did not get that good customer service vibe you expect at a hotel for the price we paid."
