"Convenient location, right by the beach and one of the main hangout spots in Placencia. The place is a little rustic but awesome beach vibes. Loved the hammock on the porch. The cabin where we stayed is right by the next door bar so it was noisy until midnight. The property managers made that very clear and offered to change our rooms but we stayed. We had live music both nights and the music was great so no complaints. The AC was cold, which was a huge plus. Nice, clean, comfortable place to stay on the beach."

"Lovely stay! Helpful staff! Only one person (female bartender) seemed to be having a bad day! She was on her phone when I approached, and proceeded to fling things around as she made our drinks. I didn't let it spoil my time in the pool, but the energy was definitely different than anyone else at the property!! My husband and I loved the bungalow on the beach!"

"The shuttle drivers were excellent friendly and informative. They waited for us 3 hours past our pick up time due to our flight from Dallas being delayed. It should be known that even though they take you to Placencia village at specific times you can call them to be a taxi as well and save money over the price of a regular taxi. Good food"
Almond Beach Resort at Jaguar Reef

"The staffing was amazing, after 5 days and multiple others coming to the resort they still knew myself and my wife by our names. The event staffing were great along with the tour guides, they helped with so much in the planning and all the supplies needed for our snorkeling trips. The food and drinks were amazing and I would highly recommend the resort to anybody! We stayed in the beginning of June which is normally the rain season but we had amazing weather!"

"My husband and I visited in January 2026 and had the most AMAZING and memorable honeymoon. The staff was wonderful and so helpful from the time we booked until the day we left. Every single person we encountered was kind, welcoming, and helpful. The people who picked us up from the airport (our flight got in a couple of hours early) came within 10 minutes to pick us up early after we called and they offered us a local beer (or water). We were welcomed at the property with a glass of champagne and warm smiles. Every excursion we requested was booked for us and confirmed the day before so we knew where to go and when we would be picked up. They offered recommendations any time we asked and even helped to rent us a golf cart for a day. Oh and they got us VIP service when we went to The Yatch Club for drinks and appetizers our last night. Every night we were greeted with a special note. The spa upstairs and restaurant as well as the poolside bar were all incredible. The property was clean and well kept. They had a water dispenser with filtered water. I loved the soap, shampoo and conditioner. The rooms were beautiful with amazing views of the sea. The location couldn’t have been better. We could walk to everything. The Ellysian really made a long lasting impression on us and we will be forever grateful for all they did to make our honeymoon unforgettable. Thank you to each and every one of you for going above and beyond. Mark and Sandy"

"We had a wonderful time in Belize. The Lodge at Jaguar Reef was lovely. The location was perfect; close to town. The facility was clean and well appointed. The food & drinks were delicious. The best part was the employees. We were always greeted warmly and with smiles. I need to acknowledge a few employes. I must commend Joseph & Kayla for excellent customer service & being very helpful. Raven for helping us get our TV working and AC fixed. Captain Larry greeted us every morning with a big smile, high five & a flower. Finally, I cannot say enough about Mario. He drove us to meet our boat for the monkey river tour. During our drive, he shared history of Belize, the Mayan culture & calendar. He is very knowledgeable and an excellent tour guide. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with him. I would definitely stay at The Lodge at Jaguar Reef again!"
