"A great place to relax in the countryside. Animals right on the doorstep. The journey over the gravel road is really worthwhile. We would visit the place again, as this time the bad weather thwarted our plans."

"Very friendly Hosts, great breakfast and lovely location."

"Excellent hotel"

"Lovely place, wonderful staff and gorgeous rooms in a very walkable and charming part of Swellendam. Bonus points for great running routes on the nearby mountain. Breakfast was extraordinary and in itself worth the trip. Would love to come back. "

"The staff and Patrick in particular were friendly insightful, and genuinely interested in us having a good stay at their facilities and the balance of the trip. The Location was very convenient. Breakfast was enjoyable. The facilities seemed secure. A very comfortable evening. We would stay here again."

"Good location on the Main Street of Swellendam"

"From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, we had amazing service in a very beautiful guesthouse. All our comforts were met, the staff is very friendly and accommodating and the breakfast was delicious. The hostess recommended and booked a dinner reservation for us which made our anniversary trip very special indeed. Absolute value for money. Highly recommended. "

"Great stay"

"Great room, spotless, cleaned very well every day; smiling and helpful staff and owners - and fantastic breakfast and tasting-menu dinner. "

"Nice hotel to stay, friendly staffs."

"Feel the nature! The river, the birds, the frogs - and the milky way. It's one of the darkest places around, so enjoy the view. Also the property itself is very lovely, clean with enough space. You will get 5l of water for cooking, a very good wifi und tv connection (you won't need them). Great place to enjoy some quiet days - the way via gravel roads and perhaps ferry: it's worth! "

"Loved this spot! Beautiful location!"

"Immaculate hotel with all of the amwniti s you would need for a short break. Stunning setting and the hostess was incredibly helpful offering good insights into the surrounding area "
