"The owners were lovely and gave us a free upgrade to a 2 bedroom cabin which was ideal for us with 2 young children. It had a well equipt kitchen. We did have a few ants coming in but when we told the owner they came down to spray the cabin. Great having a pool at the property for unwinding after a busy day in nature. The town was a 5 minute drive and it was really easy and cheap to get taxis there. Would definitely recommend staying here."

"They seemed like a great family but no AC or hot water, shared bathroom and shower with 6 other rooms. Fruit fell from the tree hitting the metal roof which made it impossible to sleep much. It was not at all a good experience. It was a room with an old bed and a bench and book shelf with a fan but it stayed hot. The boat tour was nice."

Our bags were quickly whisked away to a safe location until our room was ready. Even though we were early, we were given a room almost immediately. This hotel is just wonderful! The grounds are immaculate and very natural. There are several trails around the property to explore. It’s close to downtown and convenient to local attractions. The food at the restaurant is delicious and the staff is attentive. Monteverde Lodge and Gardens is quiet and serene. Each room faces some natural feature and ours even has a little stream bubbling in front! We highly recommend this place. "
