Our stay was wonderful and the manager is who checked us in, he was extremely helpful and kind. I will say just for those inquiring, the beds are very firm so if you need a soft mattress, I’d avoid this hotel. (We stayed in a room with two beds, maybe the king is different?) La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Chicago Downtown
I was upset that the hotel charged $5 to store a bag after checkout. This is usually complimentary for hotel guests. Otherwise, everything was great including an adequate breakfast.

Crowne Plaza Chicago West Loop by IHG
It is a great and beautiful hotel! The tap water in the bathroom is a little bit small and there are no hangers in the bathroom. Not a big deal, but the improvement would make the hotel experience perfect.
