"Spent 2 nights here with spectacular views. Had a wonderful relaxing stay, comfortable room, great food and local people. Special thanks to friendly helpful staff Sally Graham and Mark. "
"The room is thoughtfully equipped with useful amenities including an ironing machine, a small fridge, and a fan. Towels are provided in the bathroom, and there is access to a shared kitchen that is compact but adequately equipped with an electric hob, oven, and a selection of plates, cups, and utensils.
However, during my stay, the room was uncomfortably warm, and despite the fan, the high temperature made it difficult to relax. Additionally, the ventilation system was quite noisy, which...
"Overall very pleased with our stay. The room is very compact but we had a good night's sleep in a very comfortable bed with a decent shower and excellent breakfast in the morning so spot on for our requirements to break our journey down to Cornwall. Landlord was very hospitable and we ate in the pub in the evening and the food was very good. We were able to give our dog a good walk in nearby fields. Recommended. "

"My wife and I chose to have a little couple away time and The Litton was the perfect place to do it.
Not only is it one of the most stylish and beautifully done out country pubs I've ever had the pleasure to visit, not only was the food superb (both dinner and breakfast), not only was the decor spot on, not only was our room meticulously clean with such a well stocked minibar and every room amenity you could ever need but on top of all that the service was second to none.
Every staff member was friendly, knowledgeable and they all went the extra mile with a smile to make sure everything was just right.
I wish we'd caught more names because everyone was genuinely great but special mention to Olly who couldn't do enough for us.
Highly recommended people!"
WILLOW RIDGE - a large country house with 3 rental rooms
10/10 Excellent
"Willow Ridge is a fabulous country house perfectly situated just outside Bristol. From here you can explore the whole area easily including Wookey Hole, Cheddar Gorge caves, Bath, Glastonbury and Weston-super-mare and more. The host cannot do enough for you and makes you feel at home right from the start. The room was clean and comfortable and decorated to a high standard with terrific views across the countryside. I have to mention the vast welcome package informing guests of the wide area, restaurants, site seeing etc. amazing. Car parking right at the door. I would definitely return if I was in this area and hopefully will. "
"I have stayed at the Hunters Rest for 2 nights a fortnight for over a year. The staff are really friendly. My room (contemporary four-poster) was lovely - way cheaper than an average room in a city centre hotel. The food is delicious pub food. It’s in a beautiful location away from the crowds but with a local clientele. Really can’t say anything negative."
"We have stayed here several times and as always this stay was very good. Welcoming, friendly and comfortable. We to come back again later in the year."
"What a little gem this place is. Chew Magna is stunning and The Queens is a great place to stay. Room was lovely and well decorated. Everything was clean too. Staff were welcoming, chatty, friendly and we wished we were able to eat there but we’d already got dinner plans elsewhere or we’d have happily just settled in for the evening. The locals were lovely too and got chatting to a few of them whilst we had a drink and enjoyed the sunshine. Would definitely recommend and we will head back one day and stay overnight and dine there. "
"We had a lovely stay at Little Paradise, Greyfield Farm Cottages! The cottage was immaculate, cosy and had lots of amenities to make our stay feel just like being at home.
We were able to bring our dog due to the cottages being dog friendly which meant our little pup also had a lovely weekend away with us.
Local pubs were walking distances within half an hour away, and Bath was only 20 minutes in the car making our trip seamless for heading out and then coming back to a lovely setting in the evenings.
We had a perfect weekend break and would definitely visit again. 10/10! "
