"You enter into an art gallery with lots of paintings, sculptures and more to look at and engage with. A very nice fine dining restaurant and a great rooftop bar/cafe. Excellent service and can walk to almost anywhere you'd want to go."

"Room was spacious, spotless and as depicted online upon entering! Lovely gentleman at check in ensured that we were informed about the hotel’s amenities; security, restaurant, patio and hotel coffee/pastry shop. A charming young gentleman was there upon check in, for much appreciated baggage and valet service. I feel that unfortunately this is a way of the past at some nicer establishments. My husband and I are mature retired travelers, with plenty of time and means to travel, the importance of a “present” caring supportive staff will have us returning again. This classic upscale, well maintained hotel, consistently does not disappoint. It’s close to everything. Skip the corporate chain hotels that are unfortunately creeping into the Charleston area; they seem to lack southern character, charm and attention to “detail”. These off site business conglomerate hotels are sparsely staffed, with rooms that are not as depicted online. Buyer beware! We stayed at one our last trip to Charleston, we won’t be returning. It was ran down, dingy and expensive. Not at Ll as what was depicted online. The Planters Inn remains as a rare jewel, truly a classic southern charmer. Read the wonderful reviews!"

"Our stay at The Restoration was one of the best travel experiences we’ve ever had. The combination of outstanding service, thoughtful amenities, & genuinely warm staff made this an unforgettable stay. From arrival, the hospitality was exceptional. The hotel held our bags before check-in so we could explore Charleston, & when we returned, our luggage had already been delivered to our room. Small details like this made everything effortless. The highlight of our visit was Lasharia at the front desk. We interacted with her daily, and she was consistently warm, welcoming, efficient, and genuinely hospitable. She made us feel like family and truly elevated our stay. The hotel surprised me with a complimentary charcuterie board for my birthday, along with thoughtful touches like complimentary beverages & pimento dip with crackers. Our room was spacious, beautifully decorated, and very comfortable. The bed was incredibly cozy, and the oversized plush robes were a real luxury. One of our favorite amenities was the breakfast baskets delivered each morning, with fresh fruit and a rotating breakfast item that made mornings enjoyable. Library Hour was another highlight - William provided excellent hospitality during the wine & cheese gathering. The complimentary Jeep service around the peninsula was another unique and appreciated perk. Every staff member we interacted with was friendly, attentive, and committed to making our stay special. We would gladly return & highly recommend it!!"

"Beautiful hotel very central to everything. Lots of shopping and restaurants to choose from. Rooms are nice and spacious. My one complaint is the staff. There seems to be a lack of southern hospitality. This trip i had booked a bunch of night events, ghost tour, a concert, a sunset cruise. Therefore we didn't leave the room early.. there was no do not disturb sign for me to put up so on the second day when I opened my door to the house keeper she said " are you serious" well actually yes I am serious. I asked for a few towels as I didn't need the room to be cleaned but she busted in anyways mumbling under her breath. If I'm paying over a grand for 3 nights... don't treat me like I'm an inconvenience when I didn't ask for you to come in. So nice hotel..... sub par staff."
