"It all started with when we arrived and the hotel staff said we had no reservation. We showed them the printout of our reservation and the would not honor. The hotel is far from what's in the picture. It's vert dilapidated and unkempt. It smells really bad. Dream of Zanzibar Resort & Spa - Premium All Inclusive

"The best part about this hotel was that everything was all inclusive. Otherwise, it's a well-maintained hotel with few amenities and beautiful gardens, we stayed at the resort all day because it's a bit isolated from most of the activities. We enjoyed the food, although at some point we felt like the food menu was not changing much. Food was limited at the buffet. Otherwise, customer service was amazing."

"I stayed at Tembo Hotel for one night before my flight and overall had a good experience. I had booked an ocean-view room, but on arrival I was initially given a different room. After I pointed this out to reception, they promptly moved me to the correct room. The only downside was that the bathroom had an unpleasant smell that I couldn’t ignore. Since I was only staying one night and was exhausted, I chose not to request another room. They also forgot to spray my room for mosquitoes while I was out at dinner. When I returned, they quickly sent someone, but it meant I had to wait outside my room while it was being treated. This was a little inconvenient since I needed to pack for my international flight and get to bed early before my airport transfer. I also wish the beautiful swimming pools stayed open later in the evening. On the positive side, I really appreciated the 24-hour food service. Being able to pre-order a takeaway breakfast for early morning delivery to my room before heading to the airport was a thoughtful touch and made my departure much easier. Overall, I’d happily stay here again."

Tembo Palace Hotel

"The place is nice. However, the advertisement about tempo palace was deceiving. We thought the tempo palace was on the beach as per pictures that we saw. However, even though you have access to the beach and pools at tempo hotel, tempo palace is in a different side with old building views. We were not allowed to check in early. There were fixing the bathroom by the pool. There were dust all over the place and hanging the whole afternoon We tried to take a nap after a long flight but we couldn't bc of the noise. When we told them about the situation, they offered to give us a room on a different level on the same tempo palace which didn't make sense. We stayed where we were. The magnets tried to accomodate but they couldn't. It was disappointing. They tried to provide us a late checkout and a place to shower. We checked out early so we we had other plans. When we ask to shower, they told us a couple was using the room that we need to wait 10 min. That 10 min ended up being over one hour. It was disappointing. I had to call the manger for us to get a room to shower. I wish they make it easy for us. It was disappointing. Besides that the food was good."
