Needs updating badly, more like 4*. Some staff were attentive but overall not as good as other Thai hotels we have stayed in. eg. Anantara and Sheraton, both in Hua Hin. The hotel was good and reasonably priced, but Joe Kool’s Terrace felt overpriced. We found better food and value just outside the hotel for lunch and dinner. The breakfast buffet, though, was excellent and absolutely worth it.

There is a small village next to Regent with great dining options. Favourite restaurants were, The Family Restaurant & Bar, The Village Bar & Restaurant and Harry's Pizzeria & Restaurant

Didn’t see anything of Cha-am as the hotel is very isolated and we arrived 8.30 pm on the first day and left in the morning of our second day
