Mark and Lyn were somewhat surprised to find we had arrived in Meredith by bus! Not to be recommended. Taxied up to their charming hotel. Breakfast was absolutely delicious, homemade granola, yoghurt and raspberry couli, followed by poached pears and Mark's soda bread. Lyn took us down to the lake for a trip and collected us in the afternoon. They could not have been kinder or more concerned that we enjoyed our stay. We loved it.

I don't usually review, but the Ballard was such a lovely experience! It's a beautiful, historic inn, and our room was comfortable, nicely furnished, and spotless. There are a couple of comfortable sitting rooms for the guests to use, and the view across the trees down to a lake from the veranda was lovely. Beautifully maintained. No one to meet us on arrival and the restaurant was closed that day (very disappointing), but found key in envelope and called through to house to be told of nearest restaurant. Breakfast was great and hosts were very friendly in the morning

We stayed in suite 1 with 2 rooms. The rooms are very comfortable and just perfect for our stay, and the price is reasonable. Christina and Troy are fantastic hosts. Will defintely return again!

We stayed here at the beginning of August. It is a peaceful resourt with good amenities including two pools, tennis court and a games room they also offer a number of day trips. The staff are all very friendly and we're on hand at all times. The accommodation was clean and functional. The resort is located next to a golf course and we found it to be a great base for days out visiting NH.

Fabulous 1 night stay on road trip through New England. Huge bedrooms, comfy beds, great soaps/toiletteries, gowns and amazing evening dinner on site and lovely breakfast. Very friendly staff, easy to find and all in all our favourite stop on our trip. Wished we had stayed and extra night!! Quirky but cosy place to stay! Highly recommend.

Loved it! The evening meal was excellent. Staff friendly and helpful. Bedroom and bathroom lovely, clean and comfortable. Highly recommend. Breakfast pastries lovely only criticism was they only had regular coffee which I am unable to drink caffeine, there was no option for decaf.

IT WAS MORE DIFFICULT TO LOCATE THAN WE EXPECTED AND NOT WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE OF SUNAPEE. BUT IN A BEAUTIFUL LOCATION LOOKING OUT FROM THE TOP A A HILL ACROSS TO MT SUNAPEE. EXCELLENT BREAKFAST AND A VERY PEACEFUL PLACE. THE SWIMMING POOL AREA NEEDED TO BE TIDIED UP AND THE POOL NEEDED A CLEAN.

Great view from patio - best part of the stay and all room amenities in place but very dated room with no decorative touches- really basic - lacked personality. Bed was comfortable. Ready for a refresh and some modernisation - just a little more attractive decor. Lots of facilities - pools, games etc. Bar / restaurant staff were great and helpful.
