"El Camino Real del Aeropuerto historically has been considered the very best hotels in the city but for sure at the airport. The rooms were clean, elegant with fine finishes. As a kid this was a highlight of our travels to Mexico City, if our flight arrived late or left early we would always stay here. I especially loved eating at the restaurant. However, the last decade has been just ok, the beds are great, but the bathrooms are showing wear and much tear, cracked countertops and tile, broken fixtures and chipped furnishings. I stopped staying here for those reasons, but was never sure if it’s just the Expedia rooms that I get assigned to or a hotel wide issue. The breakfast that’s included is good, and the bar is better, but it’s the staff is what makes this place run well. They’re receiving hundreds of guests with smiles and kindness and that’s why I keep coming back here."
