Ceiba Sur Trip

Everything about our stay was amazing! This is truly a luxury resort, and from the staff to the property itself, everything exceeded our expectations. The pool is by far the best feature (and one of the largest in the Caribbean). If you’re a golfer, you’ll probably love this resort even more. I highly recommend adding the breakfast package. It just makes sense and saves you from leaving the resort first thing in the morning. That said, if you want authentic local food, you’re only 10–15 minutes from great restaurants, and Uber Eats is also available. The beach had a lot of seaweed during our stay, so unless you don’t mind staying off the ocean floor, it may not be the best beach experience. The biggest downside was the trolley system. I’d rate it 1/5 stars. The resort is very spread out, so everyone relies on the trolleys, but there are only about 6–7 drivers. Waits of 10–15 minutes were common, and if you miss one, you have to wait for the next. Also, be aware that a 16% gratuity is automatically added to purchases throughout the resort, and that’s before the additional taxes. Overall, this is a beautiful, luxurious resort, and I’d absolutely stay here again.

Hotel was good. Very cute and staff was great, Javier the waiter that was upstairs at pool was amazing. Elevator was out the second night but other than that view were great and good stay!
