We spent two weeks at the Centrale Palace over Christmas and New Year. It was like living in a palazzo as guests of the family! All of the public areas of the hotel are beautiful - filled with chandeliers and antique furniture. Beautiful property and friendly staff. Our room looked out over the water and marina with Palermo in the background. Such a peaceful setting to enjoy your breakfast in the morning.

The hotel is clean, comfortable and modern. We had a basic room which was still a decent size with an en suite shower room. The bed was good. Reception and breakfast staff were friendly and helpful. Stayed for weekend break. Very well located opposite the Theatro Massimo and convenient for old and new parts of city. We arrived late at night and the hotel organised a car (40 euros) from the airport. Being so late, this was well worth it, but took the bus back to airport from nearby Politeama Square. Once I'd found the entrance behind the gate, everything fell into place, and the hostess was so helpful and friendly throughout - there is car parking inside the gate, and the room itself was a good size, with effective aircon and a fridge - there were though a few mosquitoes about, so bring repellant in the warmer months. First visit to Palermo and the hotel was a delight. Good central location just behind the cathedral. Good central location for walking all over the city. Very safe even at night. Excellent tour to Mount Etna and also to the islands

We stayed two nights while on holiday in Sicily. The staff were very welcoming, the interior finish of the hotel and rooms is of a high standard. It wasn't a problem for us but the size of the room was a bit compact with only a small tv. We ate dinner at the restaurant, the foos was really good, and they recommended a delicious local wine, all at reasonable prices. Would recommend.

We have just returned from a 7 day stay at Splendid Hotel La Torre. The hotel has wonderful views of the sea and the bay around Mondello. We had an excellent time here. We had a standard room which was cleaned, sheets changed and replenished with bathroom goodies every day. Fantastic location very close to shops and lots of amazing restaurants. 20 min walk to sea. Room was large and very clean. Bathrooms although shared were immaculately kept. Hostess was delightful! Only drawback is street noise and noise from other guests opening/closing doors in an echoing hallway. Sicilians are less strict on smoking indoors which was unpleasant in the corridor but we couldn’t smell it in our room. The rooms are on 3 rd floor of an old block but there was a lift.
