New Hall Hotel & Spa

"Stunning building that has been maintained to stay as authentic as possible. Our room was a good size with an excellent bathroom, full size bath, real treat. The room had everything we needed for our short break. Decent sized tv, tea and coffee facilities and amazingly a small container of real milk, bath robes, small fridge. Ok, there isnโt air conditioning but I suspect it wouldnโt be allowed planning permission on such an iconic building. Fans are provided. Personally I would have liked it if we could open the windows wider without the restrictive measures, I understand the sentiment, but even on the second floor you couldnโt do yourself much damage falling out! The spa and pool were very pleasant. We used the pool, jacuzzi and steam room a few times, unfortunately the sauna was closed for repairs but no matter. It was very quiet in the afternoons with only a couple of other guests. Breakfast is a continental buffet and an ordered hot dish. Excellent restaurant staff, nothing too much trouble. We ate in the bar one evening and enjoyed the light menu. The over riding stand out point of this hotel are the staff. From arrival through to every department we encountered we received nothing but superb service and friendly approach. Highly recommend a stay here."

"Stay here regularly to visit family only downside is the restaurant/food. Very mediocre and not always as described on the menu, ordered a selection of fresh bread with oils received 3 pieces of deep fried bread and a pot of olive oilโฆ. Sent back. Simple menu but seldom done well โฆ Staff are really good and always very clean and welcoming."

"We stayed in a family room. The room was clean with comfortable beds. The bathroom was roomy and very clean. The view from the balcony was wonderful. We used the swimming pool and the staff there were helpful and accommodating. The swimming pool is on the small size so can get busy. The staff on the front desk and bar were exceptionally friendly, professional and helpful. Overall a really good experience and relaxing stay."

"Everything was good but strangely the suites ( as well as rooms I guess) do not have a refrigerator! And the folks from Reservations ca. be nice to a guest who has come back for thd third time and is returning again in 4 days."
