"Lovely room and such a gorgeous view from the balcony. Staff were absolutely lovely. The food at the restaurant was delicious as well. Highly recommended"
"If you're looking for a hotel in Ronda, this is the perfect place! Catalonia exceeded all our expectations! The location is exceptional, right at the bottom of the pedestrian shopping street and about a 5-minute walk to Puente Nuevo.
The staff is so friendly, professional, and helpful. The hotel is immaculately clean and beautiful. When you walk in, you're met with the most delicious scent (which they don't sell, unfortunately) and self-serve ice cold orange and cucumber water. The rooftop views of the bull ring and mountains can't be beat! The pool area is the perfect spot to cool off and relax - lots of lounge chairs and also a warmer jacuzzi/jetted tub. You can order drinks using the QR codes and a server will bring them to you. The rooms and bathrooms are also large and equipped with everything you need. Towels are large bath sheets and high quality. You won't regret booking this hotel!"
"If not for the train disruption, my stay at Duran Hostel would have been perfect! The small room was a perfect fit for a solo traveler. It takes 25 minutes to walk from the station to the hostel because it is uphill, and around 15 minutes to return to the station downhill; this was perfectly suitable for me as I enjoy walking. The town is beautiful with a warm, friendly neighborhood, and you can sit at LA SEDE to watch the clouds drift by while enjoying Spanish red wine. The hostel staff are helpful and friendly, and I would definitely recommend their single rooms to any solo traveler. I was pleasantly surprised to find a powerful shower and a bathtub. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. I have no complaints about the decor, as it is a hostel after all!
However, the train disruption made my journey quite difficult. There were limited trains from Málaga Central to Álora, but I was aware of this before I made my booking and had planned well in advance. Unfortunately, the train terminated at Cártama, and I needed to take a replacement bus, which turned a half-hour journey into an hour. Even more unfortunately, the train to El Chorro was also cancelled, and the replacement bus departure time was too late for me to start my adventure at the Caminito del Rey.
I want to take this opportunity to thank the Renfe staff; without their help, I don't think I could have completed my journey. Renfe even arranged a taxi to take me to El Chorro so that I wouldn't miss my adventu"
"The hotel is lovely and the owners are friendly and helpful. The pool is beautiful and a great place to relax. Breakfast was good quality. The hotel is walking distance from the station, and a good base for hiking and exploring Álora. Food is available in the evening and there is a bar service with a good selection of drinks. We enjoyed our stay and intend to return. Would highly recommend."
"The hotel was everything we’d hoped it would be, extremely clean and all amenities to hand.
The staff efficient and helpful, we only stayed one night due to our itinerary, but would love to have stayed longer. All in all a thoroughly enjoyable experience."
"Jasper and Evelyn are wonderful hosts and have done an outstanding job of making their place very special - one you wish you had booked for more nights!
Our room was perfect. The pool and the view from patio was spectacular. The food, for dinner (€) and breakfast, was all delicious.
Definitely, the nicest place we stayed during our two-week travels around southern Spain and worthy of our return."
"This is an absolutely charming and one of a kind hotel. We had a wonderful stay there and the restaurant was outstanding. The views were spectacular as well."
