"Would highly recommend this hotel. From our driving holiday around Italy this has been the best so far. Comfortable bed. Clean modern bathroom. We had a sea facing terrace which I recommend you get. Good breakfast selection. Helpful staff. Location was perfect for walking to the ferry to Portofino, restaurants and the market. Minor issues. Loses one point for the very noisy plumbing and fridge in the room. Mattresses are two singles and we kept getting a gap between them. These things wake you up during the night. Everytime someone flushes the toilet there’s an air gap in the pipes. And the parking garage was 30€ per day. It’s a bit of a walk and whilst you park on a private floor. At this time of year we could have parked for 24€ per day on another floor. No kettle to make drinks in your room. First place we have been they didn’t have this. Small pool on the roof which will be lovely in the summer. Double glazing is excellent. We didn’t hear any noise from the road. Electric shutters so you can make the room very dark. Bar prices were good. Santa Margherita was by far the best area to stay here. I wouldn’t stay in Portofino. Nice to visit for a couple of hours but there’s nothing there. "

"It was our 3rd and final visit. Each time there have been issues at check-in and check-out, I forget until the next stay, a terrible check-in; the rooms were not ready, even though we arrvived late afternoon well after check-in time. The front desk person was pushy and did a very long-winded up-sell that made no sense, as we had booked 3 rooms for privacy. The apartment he tried multiple times to up-sell had 2 rooms, with the 2nd divided by a flimsy partition. Breakfast was nice."
