Castara is a very special village with the most amazing atmosphere. The bird life was beyond all expectations.

Excellent location with a basic but charming room. Very friendly and helpful staff. No cash points work with UK cards except at Crown Point/Scarborough, so get what you need on the way from the airport. Cards accepted at some but not all restaurants and cash required for excursions/trips.

The owner / man in charge is a very nice, communicative and helpful person. His accommodation is exactly as described and shown in the pictures, in a very quiet and safe environment. If a restful holiday is part of your travel plans, Castara Beach might be the perfect place to visit during your trip to Castara. Wander the seaside and forests while you're in the area.
Castara is a very special village with the most amazing atmosphere. The bird life was beyond all expectations.
Two beautiful beaches, good snorkelling and swimming surrounded by Friendly people.
Wednesday and Thursday are the liveliest nights with African drumming and limbo dancing at the Boathouse at Small Bay. On Thursday the action shifts to the bar at Big Bay with pan drums, a bonfire on the beach and reggae and soca music later on.
