10/10 Excellent
"Had a terrific stay in March.
A beautiful resort in a nice location. Really enjoyed our time, especially the view, the breakfast buffet, the bar (including the amazing bar staff!), our room, and the overall level of service. Would recommend if you're wanting to stay in this area.
Only negative is the lack of hot tub (either indoors or outdoors). They were also doing some construction on the grounds, but I imagine that will be done by the summer."
"Lovely hotel, indoor pool too cold to use, outside obviously too cold! No staff available at pool etc amenities. Found a member of staff who told us towels were available at reception for a deposit. Didn’t bother because of above reasons. Breakfast and staff excellent ….."
"Gorgeous setting. Close to town but far enough away to be serene. Super apartment style, amazing grounds and amenities. Better than a hotel for sure. "
"It was advertized online as being on the beach. This is not so! We had to walk 5 minutes which is not a big deal But to advertize it as being on the beach is inaccurate. Also it was very cold in the unit. It just had a few little heaters that was unable to heat the place. We expressed concern and they gave us another plug in heater. The place itself was nice and large with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms This unit is not for people with mobility issues . There are a lot of stairs up and down. Also there was nothi.g in the kitchen. Not even any dishsoap (basic necessity) Also no shampoo or body wash. "
"The place was far from any decent grocery store, they gave us a room for someone who is in a wheelchair, the bathroom was also meant for someone in a wheelchair, terrible to assume this suited our needs."
"We had a brief (2 nights) stay at Rocha Brava. The property was in need of an update but was clean, comfortable and well-equipped. Staff were helpful and efficient. The garden areas were well kept and the pools looked inviting but were unheated so as we our stay was in early March we did not make use of them.Useful free return shuttle service which ran three times per day from the site to the local village & beach. "The apartment was very clean and the reception staff was courteous.
The apartment itself lacked even the basic condiments so make sure you bring your own Coffee for the coffee machine (Filter coffee), and your own salt and pepper, napkins/tissue papers (its a shame). Also note that all rooms are at different levels (about 8 steps to each area) so not ideal if you have mobility issues or have small children (wouldn't recommend this place for families with children). Mattress quality can be improved. One afternoon there was no water in the apartment due to some broken water line which was quite inconvenient. No grocery store nearby (walking distance). Sharing all this so you can plan ahead. "
