I liked they have a rooftop and you can have breakfast or lunch there, I didn’t liked the room with balcony you can hear everything from the street

Super social hostel in the heart of Getsemani. “Micro rooms” are great value for money and surprisingly spacious. Wifi is strong too. Minor criticisms include the painful check-in process - I’ve opened bank accounts quicker - and the prices for drinks are way too high for a hostel. Fortunately all the cool street bars are right on your doorstep so this wasn’t an issue for us. Would recommend!

Bad smell and rooms with no windows
The room we stayed had no windows and it smelled really bad. At the hotel they took a long time to change rooms and even the new room was not working. The AC was leaking and it also had a very bad smell. For the price I would expect something better.

What a bad experience 1. Dirty shower. Hairs all over the shower 2. No space between toilet and wall. Had to sit down with open legs 3. Uncomfortable pillows 4. Guard at night was super rude and disrespectful 5. Extremely loud at night. You could hear all the hallway and neighbors. Conclusion: never going back to a hole like this

Location is perfect! 2 roof top pool options. Rooms are smallish but clean and nice. The common areas are nice and open. Plenty of restaurants and bars within walking distance. Very close to the Walled City and other must see spots.

Room was amazing, only downside is that the cleaning service of the rooms was very slow, one day they didn’t come at all so we had to request it and then it was done promptly, otherwise clean and comfortable rooms. Great location and atmosphere

I stayed in room 109 Pros: -Great Social environment -provide shampoo, conditioner and body wash -whatsapp group creates a space to connect - they hold daily events Cons: -it was noisy because employees locker room was right below the room. - walls are thin (It felt like they were in my room) - bed sank in the middle, not comfortable - limited hot water

The common areas for this hotel are lovely. Great lobby and rooftop . The staff is very nice but check- in was disorganized. Room is okay, but small and basic. No hooks or wardrobe, bathroom was tight and because of open window , the music from the club was very loud until 2am,however it’s a hostel so we knew there would be noise. Great location and a good budget option!

great food and location
I stayed here for one night when I arrived before going to the islands. The hostel is walking distance to the boat dock. they had some of the cheapest and best food and drinks that i found in cartagena. there are 2 cute rooftop bars. the rooms were basic, the beds a bit old and 1 bathroom per room but it was fine. the staff were so friendly and helpful

The property was in a good location. I have been traveling all over Colombia and I have stayed at Selinas Hostels in the past in Bogota. The staff could have better customer service. They all seem to hate working there. Not the nicest group of people. When I travel to hostels, I go to meet people and find that family environment. I found staff reluctant to do their jobs. My room smelled like mold. It seemed like water was leaking from the sink and the AC behind the wall. However, I don't think it is healthy to smell that all day every day. The amount of money I paid to stay there, I expect amazing customer service. I received mediocre and less than average customer service with every encounter.

We were under no illusions that this would be a fancy hotel. We had booked a suite, but we were checked into a standard room, without being notified (~120 USD price difference). When we enquired, they advised that there had been a booking error. There was no offer of a refund for the difference, in fact - they refused, with a healthy dose of mansplaining to boot. The room we were in was fine, but it was not what we paid for. The attitude of the staff was atrocious (the girl who checked us out was great though).

A good place to stay
Stayed for one night in a private room with private bathroom. Room was pretty, comfortable and very clean. Staff was super friendly. The pool is quite small but the restaurant is nice and the food was good :)

The hostel was awesome. You meet a lot of people and there is always activities on the rooftop at night. The two building across each other was good that you can visit the rooftop and pool where ever the party is at. The only issues you run into is bringing guest in. You can only bring one guest and you need a private room to be able to bring them.

Staff were very friendly throughout the stay. Great place to meet tons of people from all over. The only downside is it’s located next to a club so on weekends you hear the music and partying loudly throughout the night.

I'm angry at this property and giving them bad ratings because, though I made a mistake in the booking dates, which was completely my fault, they did not have the courtesy or professionalism to respond to my message - or even pick up the phone - when I tried to contact them see if anything could be done. Any hotel that cannot even maintain the most basic communication with a customer, while accepting their money, is not worth staying at, in my opinion.
