This was an amazing experience service a very modern hotel with updated amenities 5 star all around with out the 5 star price it’s highly recommend I will be back! The hammock & ocean views provided breakfast awesome staff made my first out of country trip one I will never forget!

The hotel is pretty good for the price, but they only have one restaurant with the daily menu only and you have to cross the street and walk quite a while to get to the beach and the swimming pool closes at 8 PM

The hotel is very close to the airport it literally took 10 minutes by Uber to get tthe hotel and vice versa. But the down side is that you will hear the planes landing and taking off. I sleep with earplugs (as I'm a light sleeper) so the noise didn't disturb me. My room was large, nice, simple, and clean. I appreciated the air conditioner and ceiling fan. A large floor to ceiling window provided fantastic views of the skyline and beach / sea. However, the finish of my hotel room was a bit poor. The door frame was coming away from the wall and it was roughly cut out around the light switch. The bath towels are tiny, so much so I thought they were hand towels. The shower wasn't hot enough for my liking. The shower head is an overhead waterfall, so it was awkward when trying to void getting my head/ hair wet. The breakfast was VERY BASIC only a few simple options and very repetitive. There are a few local restaurants near that have an extensive menu with reasonable priced options. Staff were attentive and accommodate food restrictions/allergies. However, locals socialise outside, they are harmless, but it's worth being alert. The rooftop pool was lovely, it offered lovely skyline views and the music created a fun vibe. The beach is just across the road so that's convenient if you want to go for an ocean swim. Hotel staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating. Overall I had a good stay, Summer hotel is a decent affordable option with minimal frills.

The hotel is very well managed. The facilities are very clean and well kept. It is ideal if you are driving, or willing to take U/taxi, because Cartagena's Transcaribe Transit does not reach the hotel area. The hotel has a small and very clean rooftop pool. The beach is across a highway overpass. Wifi is excellent. Air conditioning is excellent. I enjoyed the small restaurant and its service. Breakfast is on the light side (no buffet) but enough on calories. You get two eggs any style, coffee, toast a Colombian breakfast (different every day) which I enjoyed too. The corn dough empanadas filled with beef were a treat. I would recommend this hotel if you are driving, or willing to take taxis/U's.

Buena experiencia en el hotel Summer
El hotel es muy bonito, limpio, siempre vi a sus empleados limpiando, organizando, arreglando. La habitacion tiene todo lo que necesitas. Muy limpia, me gusto. El restaurante muy rico. Me comi una mojarra deliciosa. La terraza es muy bonita, tiene una vista al mar y parte de la ciudad de Cartagena muy agradable. La piscina es pequeña pero se pudo disfrutar. También desde la terraza alcanzas a ver la pista de despego del Aereopuerto lo cual en las noches al dormir escuchas los aviones muy cerca ( eso fue el pequeño inconveniente). Pero me gusto la estadia en el hotel. Una buena experiencia

This hotel is the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at, most people here complained about the planes sound which yes its annoying but by far not the most terrible thing this hotel has, first of all there is way too many cockroaches, towels are stinking, hotel charges you minimum $30 for guests even if they won’t sleep over, the windows aren’t sound proof so you are basically hearing cars all day,they don’t change the sheets they just make the bed ,i wont recommend this place to my worst enemies.

Nice but far from the city . The hotel staff are weird . They were supposed to charge the card on the booking then they said no, they would charge on site . Or remake the booking here so that is what I did . Offered tours after I had gotten them elsewhere . It is like they live in another time

Gracias por compartirnos su experiencia, en este caso lamentamos los inconvenientes presentados, pero cada establecimiento maneja políticas diferentes por lo cual a través de otras plataformas no realizamos cobros virtuales, por motivos de seguridad; Su reserva realizada por este medio nos permitió realizar el cobro sin ningún inconveniente; nuestro personal trato de brindarle la mejor opción para que pudiera generar la reserva nuevamente con nosotros a través de EXPEDIA. Pero sus observaciones y comentarios serán tenidos en cuenta para nuestro mejoramiento continuo. Con respecto a Tour corresponde a una agencia ubicada dentro del hotel y son ellos quienes se encargan de la información. Todos los paquetes turísticos serian a través de ellos, no directamente con nosotros.

It was okay but the jacuzzi i paid for did not get hot which defeated the point of getting a more expensive room. The staff also called 2 different days at late hours waking me from sleep. It was okay but needs to be more professional. I enjoyed the view though

Nice hotel but I got a room with a view to the highway and it was very noisy. Also the AC lights can’t be turned off without turning off the cooling and they are very bright.

Very unclean property. Will call you immediately before check out and then will keep you downstairs until the maid calls with some excuse for you to pay extra before you leave. I personally witnessed 4 other groups being charged for various reasons such as… food stain on towel, broken glass bottle in room, another stain on the linen and I couldn’t not make out the last one. Breakfast is the same every morning from 7-10 am and they will run out of certain things quickly. The place is very outdated and the staff is very rude and unbothered. It is usually one person there at all times at the front desk, except for checkout time, when it’s three and they all will make sure that you will wait a while if you need some assistance. The alarms continuously goes off in various rooms for hours, throughout various times of the day.

I enjoyed my stay at Summer Hotel. Its very accessible to the beach, attractions and neighborhoods. Also, Its minutes away from the airport. The only issues I experience during my stay is the interrupted WIFI connection and my card key having difficulty opening the door. Overall, I love staying at this hotel and will definitely stay again if I return to Cartagena again.

This hotel is infested with cockroachs. The day I arrived the house/Airbnb next door to the hotel played music extremely loudly without pause for the entirety of the night and next day only to stop at 7pm the next day. This was the only day this happened but the hotel offered no solution for this issue. The next day, the housekeeping staff dug into my bag and stole expensive jewelry that was hidden in-between my clothes. A police report was made and the hotel offered no solution or retribution for these issues. The staff wouldn't even contact the police for me and I had to end up calling the emergency line to get assistance. I would recommend anyone considering this hotel to steer clear and avoid it like the plague.
