Amazing place! Very friendly and helpful owners. Celina is a wonderful cook, her breakfasts are impeccable. The house is beautifully furnished with extremely comfortable beds. The house is only a short trip from the main road, walkable but a car or motorbike makes it easier.

A little bit of paradise conveniently close to the national park. The owner and her son were wonderful. Very welcoming and a great hosts. Excellent home cooked food and no need to go elsewhere. We felt very much at home

A beautiful resort located by the beach - we saw as much wildlife at the hotel as we did in 3 national parks.

Lovely boutique-style built run hotel. Everything is exactly as described and pictured. We only stayed a night to break a long journey prior to flying out of SJO the following afternoon, but there's plenty to do in the area and it would make a great base if staying a little longer. Very comfortable beds, it was one of our best nights sleep of our trip! We had dinner in Alajuela, about 10 mins drive away with loads of choice, and went back to the town to kill a couple of hours the next day...

We loved the quirkiness of this location, as well as the proximity to the beach. Andrea was so so lovely and helpful and made some excellent recommendations for how to spend our time, as well as putting us in touch with an excellent guide for a day out. We loved the personal touches and that everything was local and/or homemade

This is a lovely property, beautifully designed and a joy to stay at. Juliet is a great hostess who is helpful considerate and knowledgeable on the area. The breakfasts are superb and the overall vibe is relaxing and calming. Highly recommend this hotel.

Amazing hotel, staff were so friendly, took the time to walk us around the grounds pointing out where to find all the resident animals. Peaceful, beautiful grounds full of wildlife. Great location to the beach and town

Great lodges, with great beds and clean. Loved the screen concept so you can hear nature (birds, howling monkeys) without the bugs (not really a lot around). The restaurant was also great with friendly staff, good breakfast and dinner the cook always had the meat and fish perfect! Would certainly come again!

Helpful friendly staff, good food, clean and well equipped rooms and superb gardens with a host of birds. Can't fault it.

A lovely stay within a few yards of the beach just north of Coahuila. Host was friendly and helpful and our apartment spacious. We enjoyed our time here

Wonderful jungle retreat. Yoga room and classes were excellent, rooms were comfortable and the staff were great. Loved watching the wildlife from the common areas.

Fantastic property. We saw more wildlife in this property than in Cahuita National Park. Jenny and Emilio are both super warm, hospitable and accommodative. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. 🙂🙂

My wife and I spent the first part of our honeymoon at El Encanto and simply stated, it was paradise. The grounds and room were breathtaking. There are two lovely pools and loads of wildlife could be seen throughout the grounds on any given day (or night). There was no fridge in the room, but we were able to access the fridges in reception at any time and filtered water is also available there 24 hours per day, along with coffee and tea. Staff were fantastic, especially Eden who really helped...
