I often visit Cambridge on business from abroad, and have a limited budget, which often leads to me staying in allegedly quaint bed and breakfasts that inevitably have unpleasant surprises such as shared toilets.
This was my first time staying at The Earl Derby, and I can say that for the price, this pleasant tavern by the train station is fantastic. The staff are great, if you are hungry you can pop down to the pub and be treated to interesting Portuguese-inspired foods from Madeira. The place is quiet and has large rooms with nice bathrooms. Definitely a gem.
