"Amazing oasis in the historic center of city. The mature tree canopy and hedge offers a resort feel but you are just a few blocks from the train station, cable car, upscale shopping, and incredible historical sites in the pedestrian area of the city. The pool was a perfect way to relax and refresh after a day of siteseeing or hiking. There are so many little touches that exude high quality design-- from the in-room Marshall speaker to the yoga mat to the reading material near the pool and sauna/gym area. I felt like I was at a wellness resort in a very well-run city hotel."

The bed was very comfortable, and the entire hotel was exceptionally well maintained. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The breakfast exceeded our expectations. There was an excellent variety of healthy, fresh food, including freshly prepared eggs, delicious fresh berries, and homemade cakes. We also loved that the coffee was organic, it was absolutely fantastic and one of the best hotel coffees we’ve had. Everything about our stay reflected quality and attention to detail."
