Very enjoyable two night stay. The 3 bedroom apartment was way over what I needed, but really lovely. Staff were helpful and friendly.

The staff and service was excellent. However the Wifi is terrible and seemed to be only able to support one device when it worked. It may be a problem of Cairo in general and the neighborhood in particular.

I will recommend for work travel
It was okay for basic hotel.I was upgraded to a suite which i believe was one of the best.The facility is Old,but maintained. Probably one of the best years back.I will recommend for basic travel,not for luxury or leisure.

Purely booked for it's location near a family member in Maadi, I was very pleased with the Royal Maadi Hotel. A point for first time visitors: the sign on the front says, "Royal Residence Hotel". This caused a worry when I arrived exhausted, after a long delayed flight and a wrangle to locate my lost luggage at the airport. I had to check inside we were at the right hotel before taking my bag in. I had a very nice, very clean room with wifi which worked well in the end. The staff were extremely helpful on many occasions. If I go back to Cairo, I will stay here without hesitation. A couple of points to note: there is no dining room, so you can either have breakfast (basic Egyptian) delivered to your room at a time of your choosing, or go out. There are several eating options just next door. There is also a rare find, somewhere to drink alcohol, Franks Bar, where I developed a fondness for Egyptian Stella, much better than the European beer of the same name. I took advantage of all of these adjacent businesses at some point in the stay at some point in the stay. Regarding the area, Maadi is a relatively quiet, upmarket area, compared to much of the city, and it made an ideal base for me in Cairo. The cover photo shown here on Expedia is nothing like my very pleasant room, by the way.

Nice place. We had reserved the suite because it was the same price as a regular room. Turned out to be a completely furnished (with washer/drier) three bedroom apartment with a huge living area. Had a nice balcony too, and was right above three very nice restaurants and a Caribou Coffee shop! The manager showed me some newly remodeled rooms on the 8th floor that were as nice as any five star rooms I've seen. I've recommended this place to other who will be coming to Cairo and will likely stay there again in the future if I return.

This is a convenient and very clean property. It is old but well maintained. The garden was amazing - the colors and scents - a nice place to walk through every morning and evening, but there could be nice seats all around. The cats were cute, and some even a bit friendly or curious. More electric sockets in the bedroom, that are easily accessible would have been nice.

Nice, gently worn Maadi hotel
The area is great location. The hotel reception staff are nice. The cleaning is very spotty. Some days we had towels and soap, some we did not. The condition is worn but okay-- very Egyptian. Don't stay here if you want an American or European style hotel. Do stay here for the feeling of Maadi . DOUBLE AND TRIPLE CHECK how much the price is. We booked thru hotels.com and the check out price was different. Not by a huge amount but different. Wifi in the rooms is weak, even with dayaon your phone.

Old furniture and bathrooms- moquette all over the apartment, no possibility of adjusting the aircon, internet very poor - strongly recommend not to go there unless you book specifically the ‘modern’ rooms upstairs

I was pleased with my stay. My room was large, clean and had a nice balcony with city view. The pictures were accurate as to what was on offer. Everyone was nice. I had issues with the internet and TV early in the stay but the staff worked out quickly. The hotel is in s quiet neighborhood which is a rare find in Cairo

The hotel manager did his very best to find me the most luxurious and comfortable bed as this was an unexpected stay. The room was easily a five star accommodation for an unbelievable price. The effort by the manager was just the start. The overall care and services by the staff were above and beyond.

In general my stay was so good. We had only some issues with the wi fi conne ruin and the technician tried to some this, but in veil. I do recommend the property management to work on this issue as to have good quality of provided services to its clients

No es un hotel. Es un edificio con apartamentos grandes adecuado para estancias largas. No ponen shampoo, ni otros artículos de baño, solamente jabón líquido, pañuelos desechables, papel higiénico y toallas en buen estado. Tienen elevador y vigilancia. Buenas opciones para comer alrededor. Excelente servicio y actitud para corregir detalles.

Ich hatte einen Single-Luxury-Bedroom im 8. Stock. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber und die Aussicht toll. Im obersten (9. Stock) ist ein italienisches Restaurant (toller Blick), schön und sauber. Dort gibt es auch Frühstück, Mittag und Abendessen. Das Hotel liegt in Maadi in einer tollen Straße mit tollen Restaurants und Cafés. Maadi ist orientalisch-europäisch. Tolles Viertel. I love it! Das Hotel ist von außen ansprechend. Die Lobby könnte mal renoviert werden, damit es einen moderneren Touch bekommt. Aber alles ist sehr sauber. Und das Personal ist sehr nett. Ich habe mich sehr sicher und sehr gut aufgehoben gefühlt. Ich würde ein Zimmer im 8. Stock (Luxury-Bereich) empfehlen. Es ist definitiv ein Hotel, in das man gerne wiederkommt.
