"We had the best time at Pousada Boutique Raio de Luz - the estate feels like an oasis of nature and one can truely disconnect and enjoy the environment. The whole team is super welcoming including their many cute animals, the breakfast fresh and tasty and Eliane kindly accommodated all dinner options to vegetarian for us (& is probably the best vegetarian chef in brazil). They are super friendly and helpful. The cuisine in Minas Gerais is said to be the best in Brazil and the hotel’s full Brazilian breakfast (café colonial) is a shining example. There’s a lovely afternoon tea as well! My room was very comfortable. I can’t wait to visit again! "

"I am an architect that loves the work of starchitect Oscar Neimeyer. He designed the hotel in 1938. One of his first projects. It was a great place to experience his legendary vibe. The Owners have done a wonderful job to maintain the hotel in its grandness. We stayed in a two level suite that overlooks the city. Wow! What a memorable time. The staff is friendly and helpful. The meals at Oscar Restaurant are perfect. Parking was included. "
